Final Film Trailer
This is my final improved trailer for my media coursework. This was easier to make then the last film because the files were already converted to MP4 Quicktime files. This took over three days to edit, unlike the last trailer which took me and Saifur over a week and a half to edit.
As you can see this is more of a trailer then a teaser because of the time of the trailer. I learnt from my trailer research that trailers should be over two minutes to count as a full trailer, not all trailers follow this rule though you can still get low budget independant films which trailers are only 1.40 - 1.50 minutes long but still count as a full trailer, at the end of the day it all leads down to marketing, my trailer however is over 2 minutes. The trailer is clearly a horror and with that short dialouge between Alex, me and Calli it really does show that this is a funny comedy aswell or gives the impression it is. I feel like the horror aspect comes off from the Killers costume because it's ghostface from the Scream and Scary Movie films. This assues the audience that this trailer is a comedy and horror. Saifur was the one who was holding the camera, he didn't want to be in the film at all so I had to be in it, because I was in the full trailer I still maganaged to do a few shots of the scenes which I am not in. I did however make this up by doing most of the editing for the trailer. This even included putting the extra effort in to do title cards between scenes and sorting the music out which I also had to cut into bits using a special music program and lastly I also did the transitions. The music I think is my favorite because it's the music from the second trailer of Scream 4, it luckily went really well with my trailer and managed to sync the music with the acting creating some great shots.
